Kara Prickett is a Financial Advisor with a background rooted in service and care. After an 18-year career in nursing, she transitioned into finance to pursue her passion for helping others create meaningful financial plans.
Kara holds a BS in Finance and a master’s in nursing, blending analytical insight with a deeply empathetic, client-focused approach. She graduated from Baird’s Financial Advisor Training Program in December 2025 and joined the Cedar Rapids team as a Financial Advisor. Kara thrives on building relationships, solving complex problems, and guiding clients through a holistic planning process.
Outside of work, Kara enjoys staying active with her husband, Jamison, and their two children, Josie and Roman, whether it’s running, biking, pickleball, or weightlifting together as a family.
